About this role
As the Quality Lead/Manager, you will be required to provide onsite quality direction, guidance and support to projects. You will implement quality and welding management systems with support from the Corporate Quality Manager, continually review and assess risks of project operations for governance and assurance purposes to ensure successful project delivery.
The Quality Lead/Manager provides strategic and operational support to Project Management, and training to the project team in the delivery of quality management services and welding technology. Additionally, this position will be required to provide functional leadership to project Quality Representatives.
This is a site-based role in Kurri Kurri, New South Wales on a 21:7 roster.
Responsibilities
- Implement Quality Assurance program with emphasis on Welding Quality in accordance with ISO 3834.2.
- Identify contract specific quality requirements, develop tools to capture and maintain these to align with the Quality Management System.
- Manage all elements of quality risk to ensure operational and commercial viability. Contribute to an active opportunity and risk register
- Provide leadership, direction, supervision and management to all project quality team members
- Investigate non-conformances, assist with continuous improvement and problem-solving processes. Report on effectiveness of corrective and preventative actions
- Prepare work packs for operations including; Quality Plans/ITP and control sheets/ forms, etc
To be considered for this role, you will ideally possess the following;
- At least 3 years’ experience in Quality Management
- Trade certificate, Coating and/or Welding Inspection qualification or bachelor’s degree in a technical field.
- Excellent engineering knowledge, preferably in a pipeline related industry
- High level of experience in developing and maintaining company management systems.
- Excellent knowledge of quality control principles and practices, including ISO 9001.
- Experience in the manufacturing, construction, or engineering industries is a plus.
- Proven ability to drive and maintain operational improvements and efficiencies.
