Lockhart Tile Traders Pty Ltd require a Warehouse, Logistics and Distribution Manager to join their team in Northgate, Brisbane.
To be considered you will need:
- A Bachelor of Commerce or equivalent Tertiary education qualification
- Warehouse and logistics management experience, preferably in smaller business environment, where the person would have had to multi-task to get things done
- To be willing to travel as part of the job.
Reporting to the General Manager, duties and responsibilities include:
- Warehouse Management across all warehouses (currently two: one in Brisbane and one in WA; plans for more over time), ensuring on-time unpacking of incoming stock, correct binning of the stock, picking of stock for despatch, correct packing of stock for despatch, on-time and correct despatch.
- Ensuring that stock is properly stored.
- Undertaking regular stock counts.
- Maintaining availability of stock to ensure sufficient stock levels to continuously meet customer needs. Liaising with General Manager and sales staff and use of historical sales data and to adjust warehouse stock levels and ensure continuity of supply.
- Place orders on suppliers.
- Making use of FIFO (first in first out) and batch tracking to ensure the rotation of product.
- Ensuring that orders on suppliers are placed timeously to ensure that stock levels are correctly maintained.
- Overseeing stock movement to clients and between warehouses.
- Managing and overseeing staff activities and performance.
- Engaging in contract negotiations with suppliers to optimise resources.
- Site Repairs, Maintenance, and Housekeeping

This is a full time opportunity. A remuneration package of $71,000 - $75,000 will be offered to the successful candidate.
