THE ROLE
The Warehouse Manager is responsible for working between Warehouse Operations and headquarters with objective to drive improvement and enhancement from managing inventory in the warehouse and outbound delivery fulfilment. This involves being primary contact for customers (Tier 1, Tier 2 and Tier 3) and internal stakeholders such as State Managers to provide accurate updates and solutions on inventory movements.
To be successful for this role, you will need to be independent, inquisitive and agile with solid understanding of Warehouse Operations with goals and mutual desire to improve logistics and enhance customer experience. Key to success translates into having clarity and visibility of warehouse status to be equipped to provide timely communications with accurate speed to action to stabilise the new warehouse operation rhythm.
Responsibilities:
Drive Operational Excellence
- Take charge and manage daily Operational drumbeat partnering with 3PL management / members to generate plan of execution.
- Collaborate and Partner with key Supply Chain Management stakeholders to translate into operational executional plans.
- Lead and drive End of Month cycle planning and Peak Season execution in support of SEAU revenue goals.
- Undertake Systems enhancements with project leaders to refine inventory, ERP and WMS capabilities as required.
- Lead and govern SEAU’s Inventory management practices through appropriate measures against cycle counting protocols and Inventory stocktake exercises.
- Conduct monthly Cycle + bi-annually stock take and reporting with location accuracy and detail audit reconciliation and discrepancies values.
- Deliver data visualisation that drives impact via creating meaningful reports to facilitate efficient outcome.
- Streamline inventory process for improved efficiency and systems to enable agility to business requirement, efficiency in stakeholder communications.
- Lead Root Cause Analysis and Mitigating plans with internal parties and 3PL members to drive Continuous Improvement and Operations Excellence mindset(s).
- Provide / Serve as backup knowledge expertise to Direct Reporting personnel in areas of (not limited to)
- Blocking
- Stock Adjustment Approval and Processing
- Location to location transfers (SCO) with virtual inventory to match physical movement.
- Stock Transfer (STO) movements and completion.
- Material to material processing and validation
- Work directly with E-commerce business to manage logistics support for innovation opportunities, marketing activities, project launches, urgent issues and new customer setup.
- Work collaboratively with 3PL on Scope of work establishment, Program management execution, benefits realisation, post execution evaluation.
- Project Manage agreed initiative from inception to delivery (Logistics perspective)

- Diploma / Tertiary Education in relevant field preferred
- 2 years + Warehouse operations experience.
- Advanced Proficiency with Microsoft Office – Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
- Strong SAP ERP and WMS experience highly regarded.
- Excellent knowledge and understanding of modern warehousing and order picking systems and methods.
- e-commerce fulfilment processes and systems, including automated packaging and box making would be ideal.
