We have an opening for a Warehousing Operations Manager in our Brisbane branch, where you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of Warehouse Operations to ensure efficiency and productivity. Answerable to the Operations and Systems Manager, your main duties will include supervising staff, managing inventory, coordinating shipments and optimizing processes to minimize costs and maximize customer satisfaction. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills and a proven track record in warehouse management. Responsibilities
- Oversee all Warehouse Operations, including inventory management, order picking and packing, shipping and receiving, and quality control
- Develop and implement strategies to improve Warehouse Operations and increase efficiency
- Monitor KPI targets to ensure accurate and timely processing of orders to meet customer expectations
- Train, supervise and evaluate warehouse staff, providing guidance and support as needed
- Collaborate with other departments to optimize processes and maintain effective communication
- Monitor and maintain accurate inventory records, conducting regular audits and cycle counts
- Enforce safety protocols and promote a safe working environment for all employees
- Implement cost-saving initiatives, such as optimizing warehouse layout and minimizing waste
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the warehouse, ensuring compliance with company standards and regulations
- Resolve any issues or discrepancies that arise, and take proactive measures to prevent future occurrences
The Person
- Minimum 5 years proven experience as a Warehousing Manager or similar role
- Excellent leadership and communication skills
- Proficient in using warehouse management software
- Oracle NetSuite experience would be of advantage
- Ability to analyse data and make informed decisions based on findings
- Knowledge of safety protocols and regulations
- Familiarity with inventory management practices and systems
- Detail-oriented with strong organisational and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure and manage multiple tasks simultaneously
- Lean and continuous improvement experience
- Current forklift ticket
