About the role
We are looking for an experienced Warehouse Operative to assist with the smooth running of our warehouse operations for a period of 9 weeks. The warehouse facilities are open Monday to Friday during office hours.
Warehouse
- Logistics management (goods in/out) – every department has their own standards eg whether they want them to open box and check contents, lot it and store it.
- Post in/out.
- Space allocations and storage.
- Archiving and disposal in line with disposal date (digitize where possible and strive to get individual teams to manage own documents).
- Stock management – aligning what is on the system with what is on the shelf so the teams can see what available so orders can be placed when needed. Wasp tool manages storage side of that and who owns it.
- Storage for demo, sales, service, onsite spares.
- Maintenance of Telehandler as per schedule as well as morning visual inspection on site.
- Any other duties as required by Directors to ensure the smooth operation of the warehouse and dispatch process.
- Organising couriers for shipments around Australia and the world.
- Maintaining clean warehouse conditions.
- Ensuring compliance with all Health and Safety legislation / guidelines at all times.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in a warehouse position
- Ability to operate common warehouse equipment
- Organised and detail-oriented
- Positive attitude and comfortable working in a team
- Reliable and responsible
- Proven multitasker and comfortable working under pressure
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate at all levels, including external stakeholders
- The ability to solve critical problems in a timely manner
- Strong administration and time management skills
- Proficiency using Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and strong IT skills
The ideal candidate will also have:
- Forklift/Manual handling experience
- WH&S experience
Physical Demands
- Frequent lifting of cartons up to 16kg
- Occasional lifting of cartons up to 35kg (and only using trolley equipment or 2 person lifting for anything above 35kg)
- Frequent bending, reaching, standing and walking
- Maneuvering pallets using telehandler or goods on trolleys
