Role Description:
The Warehouse Operator is responsible for assisting in the smooth and efficient operation of the storage and distribution functions within the branch operations. Although not essential, previous experience in the receipt and distribution of goods would be a distinct advantage.
A good understanding and working knowledge of Occupational Health and Safety and Quality Assurance Systems and the possession of a current licence/permit to operate a forklift are essential for the position.
Main tasks include but are not limited to:
- Promptly processing distribution orders or requests
- Loading and unloading of trucks in a safe and efficient manner
- Booking freight and organising logistics
Requirements:
- Ability to work in a team environment and take direction from supervisors.
- Experience in material handling, unloading, and packing of goods in a warehouse environment is preferred.
- Proficient in forklift operation.
- Knowledge and understanding of Health & Safety regulations.
- C class Driver license is required.
