An exciting opportunity has opened up for a Warehousing Specialist to join our busy team in Khancoban (Murray). The role is responsible for leading the Murray warehousing team to apply, develop, and improve warehousing processes to ensure the business has the right parts, spares, and consumables necessary to support the region's ongoing operations and overhaul needs. This will include managing warehousing, and inventory and championing the regional hazardous access registers within the Kosi/Murray Region.
Reporting to the Manager Planning and Scheduling, as a Warehousing Specialist - Kosi/Murray (Production), you will be responsible for:
Providing expertise and know-how to manage and maintain the operations of the Murray region's main Depot Warehouse and satellite storage areas including supporting the Kosi region.
Provide leadership and line management of the warehouse team to ensure safe and efficient operation delivering on the expected performance and business values.
Developing and maintaining relationships with Key stakeholders including the Cooma Warehousing Manager, the Procurement/Finance teams, Capital Projects and Overhaul teams to provide support and advice where required.
Maintaining and managing the Murray region stores including accountability to ensure the conducting of stocktakes, inventory audits, Regional Hazchem compliance and auditing, storage and pallet racking systems compliance throughout the Murray region.
Manage the coordination of documentation, dispatch, repair, return and storage of rotable spares.
Maintain equipment and stores data in our maintenance management system
Facilitate and coordinate the creation of stores purchasing requirements, associated field release Orders and associated assignments relating to any stores needs.
Assist the maintenance team with day-to-day maintenance activities including but not limited to stores-related asset security and surveillance, crane operations and forklift movements
To be successful in this role, you will need:
Knowledge of stores and supplier environment including stores and warehouse procedures.
Experience in warehousing including storage and handling of goods.
Experience in Warehousing layout and associated storage and racking systems.
Experience in the use of computer-based materials management systems.
Communication skills across all levels of the organisation.
Experience in conducting stocktakes.
Experience in receiving and dispatching items.
Understanding of legislation regarding hazardous goods.
Driver's licence, forklift licence.
Experience identifying heavy industrial mechanical and electrical parts and alternate equivalents.
