A national distribution company requires the services of an experienced warehouse store person to join their progressive team based in Banyo.
The person we’re looking for will report directly to the Warehouse Supervisor and ideally have completed a high level of schooling and have excellent English with solid communication skills. You will need to demonstrate previous experience in warehousing with excellent leadership skills, with the potential of growing into a senior warehouse role. Additionally, you will require to be a team player who can demonstrate the ability to think quick on their feet, show initiative, be reliable and use their time effectively.
Your responsibilities will include;
- Loading and unloading delivery vehicles
- Accurate and timely picking and packing of orders
- Receiving and unpacking containers
- Processing of stock transfers & branch allocations
- Receiving, checking and putting away incoming stock
- Consolidation and maintenance of stock levels
- Inspecting inventory for damage and faults.
- Maintaining warehouse in a neat and clean order
- Participating in stock take
- Ensure high level of customer service is maintained
- Learn all facets of systems and procedures in warehouse including computer systems
You will require;
- Forklift license
- Previous proven experience with leadership potential
- A can-do attitude that can find solutions to problems
- A team player that leads by example
- Can handle pressure & make sound decisions
- Be strong and fit and be able lift parcels
