Pirtek is seeking a motivated and enthusiastic person who takes pride in their work to join our team as a Warehouse Store Person. Take this opportunity to become part of a company that offers a positive, fulfilling work environment with great opportunities.
You will be actively involved and participate in the day-to-day duties of the warehouse operation, based in Kings Park (near Blacktown). The successful candidate will be expected to work Monday to Friday, 9:00 – 5:30pm
Duties will include:
- Picking and Packing of orders to be sent to Pirtek Franchises
- Receiving inbound goods
- Despatching orders
- Computer operation
- Assisting with day-to-day operations
- Ensuring the warehouse is kept clean and tidy at all times
- Manual handling and lifting required
To be successful in this position, you will be someone who is focused on the quality of their work. You must have excellent interpersonal skills and express a positive approach to team building. The successful applicant must be reliable, flexible and possess a good eye for detail. Comprehensive on the job training of equipment operation and policies and procedures will be provided.
Preferred Skills and Experience
Essential:
- Forklift licence
- Functional capacity as follows:
- Ability to regularly lift heavy items
- Ability to stand / walk for up to 8 hours per day (with breaks)
- Ability to crouch, kneel, turn (without twisting), bend and stretch without limitations
The following skills and experience will be highly regarded, however if you possess some but not all of these, we still encourage you to apply:
- Previous experience working within a fast-paced warehouse
- Previous experience in despatch
- Previous experience in goods receiving
- Previous experience in bulk picking with hi-reach
- Good communication skills
- Experience with operating Warehouse Management Systems
- A proven track record of meeting deadlines and adhering to timetables
