POSITION TITLE: Warehouse Storeman
REPORTS TO: Warehouse Supervisor
LOCATION: Eagle Farm, Brisbane
BASIC JOB PURPOSE
The primary role of a Warehouse Storeman in a GMP/TGA/PICS compliant facility is to oversee the secure and effective management of pharmaceutical products and materials. This includes their careful handling, proper storage, and efficient distribution to support the facility's pharmaceutical operations.
PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES [in accordance with GMP requirements]
Material Handling and Storage:
- Safely and efficiently handle incoming pharmaceutical materials and products.
- Ensure proper storage conditions, including temperature and humidity control, as specified for pharmaceutical items.
- Implement strict adherence to FIFO (First In, First Out) and FEFO (First Expired, First Out) principles to maintain product quality.
Inventory Management:
- Monitor and manage inventory levels to prevent shortages or overstocking.
- Conduct regular stock checks and maintain accurate records of stock movements.
- Verify the compliance of received materials with approved specifications.
Packaging Support:
- Provide timely distribution of materials to packaging areas to support production schedules.
- Ensure all packaging materials are readily available, labelled correctly, and in good condition.
Quality Control:
- Inspect incoming materials for damage, defects, or discrepancies, reporting any issues promptly.
- Follow established quality control procedures to maintain product integrity.
Documentation and Compliance:
- Maintain comprehensive records of all inventory transactions, including receipts, issues, and returns.
- Adhere strictly to GMP guidelines and follow established Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for all warehouse operations.
Safety Procedures:
- Prioritise safety within the warehouse, following safety protocols and guidelines.
- Ensure the secure handling of pharmaceutical materials to prevent accidents, contamination, or product damage.
Communication and Collaboration:
- Collaborate effectively with various departments and management to facilitate material flow and address any issues or concerns promptly.
- Communicate any deviations from standard procedures and take corrective actions as necessary.
Training and Continuous Improvement:
- Participate in ongoing training related to GMP requirements to stay updated with industry standards.
- Identify opportunities for process improvement and contribute to a culture of continuous improvement within the warehouse.
Regulatory Compliance:
- Stay informed about regulatory changes related to pharmaceutical warehousing and ensure full compliance with applicable regulations.
Waste Management:
- Properly manage waste materials, including disposal of expired or damaged pharmaceutical items according to regulatory guidelines.
General:
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and company policies in all warehouse operations, including GMP/TGA/PICS regulations, environmental, health, and safety standards, and other applicable regulations.
- Ensuring a clean and safe warehouse for staff to always work in.
- Receipt and inspection against the purchase order. Book in as per SOP.
- Check Sales orders through ERP system.
- Follow all GMP requirements.
- Contacting transport companies and coordinating dispatch and delivery with them.
- Picking and packing products for despatch reflecting sales orders.
- Selecting space for storage and arranging goods to be stored in designated areas.
- Loading and unloading Lorries, vans and other vehicles.
- Operate Forklift.
- Sample materials as per SOP.
- Report any maintenance issues relating to machinery, equipment, and services to Supervisor.
- Promote Occupational Health and Safety and GMP.
- Adhere to relevant requirements stated in the cGMP, internal SOP’s, and policies.

- Adherence to the production schedule in Staging/Dispatching

Warehouse Team:
- Approve/Reject unprinted and printed packaging components (Goods Receipt)
- Approve/Reject tertiary printed packaging components (Shippers, SRT’s, Cartons, Display Trays)
KEY SELECTION CRITERIA
Qualifications and Experience
- A minimum of 2 years’ experience in operational systems in regulated industries; Pharmaceutical / Therapeutic Goods / Foods / Veterinary products,
- Demonstrated knowledge of Pharmaceutical Manufacturing processes, validation methodology and the Code of Good Manufacturing Practice,
- Must have a Forklift License including high reach
