Position Overview:
The Storeperson will play a crucial role in managing and improving our warehouse operations. Reporting to the Stores Supervisor, this position is responsible for ensuring the efficiency and high-quality standards of our warehouse processes. The successful candidate will assist in stock management, provide excellent customer service, and maintain a safe and organised warehouse environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Picking and packing of orders for shipment to customers
- Assist with organisation of stock in a safe and collaborative manner
- Manage and process returns, ensuring accuracy and adherence to quality standards
- Assistance with receiving stock from suppliers and ensuring accuracy of items received
- Assist with documenting warehousing activities for efficient tracking and stock management.
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the warehouse area.
- Support walk-in customers by providing professional and timely service if required.
- Work closely with the Warehouse Supervisor to optimise warehouse processes.
Requirements:
- Previous experience in a warehousing or similar role preferred.
- Forklift licence essential, or willingness to obtain (assistance provided).
- Valid drivers licence and ability to undergo a police check.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Basic calculation and numerical skills.
- Highly organised with attention to detail and the ability to meet deadlines.
- Team player and the ability to work independently when necessary.
