Role Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented warehousing store person for our Tennyson warehouse. Immediate start for an experienced all-rounder Warehouse Store person / Forklift Driver who is happy to perform general warehouse duties as part of a small team. In this role, you will be responsible for performing all store functions effectively and efficiently.
You will be reporting to the Logistics & Inventory Manager, you'll be a crucial Warehousing Store Person at our Tennyson site. We need an experienced all-rounder, your duties include receiving goods, ensuring accurate placement, packing orders and loading/unloading trucks. You'll also handle cycle counts, investigate stock issues, and assist customers. Safety is paramount, along with maintaining a tidy workspace and equipment operation. You must have two years' experience, a valid forklift license, and inventory system proficiency. Your dedication to customer service and detail is vital for smooth product delivery. With your proactive approach and focus on safety, you'll excel in this dynamic role.
To be successful, you will need to have:
- Minimum two years’ experience in a similar role.
- A Current Forklift License and minimum one years, forklift experience.
- Experience with Cin7 (preferred but not essential).
- Some experience in using scanners for handling stock.
- A strong commitment to Customer Service.
- Must be physically fit with the ability to lift.
- Basic computer skills including Excel and MS office.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
- Rights to work in Australia.
Key Responsibilities
- Receive goods and stock from internal and external suppliers.
- Check for any damages and discrepancies between goods received and purchase orders.
- Ensuring timely entry of goods into the system and their placement in the correct locations.
- Ensuring correct labelling of goods received with location for storage.
- Loading/unloading trucks.
- Unloading of shipping containers.
- Picking and packing customer orders.
- Organise, verify, pack and weigh orders for shipping.
- Booking freight for orders and creating consignment notes using Cario8 freight management software.
- Ensuring shelves are replenished and organizing warehouse racks and locations.
- Assist in Daily Cycle Counts and Annual Stock Takes.
- Investigate stock issues, delivery issues, damaged goods.
- Face to face service for walk in trade customers.
- Ensure the safe operation of all equipment.
- Maintaining a clean and tidy work environment / housekeeping.
