The Opportunity:
An opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic and self-starting Warehouse Storeperson to join our Brisbane team. This role encompasses the management and administration of the parts inventory, stock delivery, dispatch of customer orders, stock levels, stock turnover, minimisation of stock shrinkage and the general upkeep of the warehouse area.
Key Responsibilities:
- Picking, packing and dispatch activities within designated timeframes
- Manage assigned aspects of product receiving including quality and quantity verification, system receiving and storage
- Ensure that schedules and deadlines such as Daily priority Parts Dispatch are adhered to
- Effectively control all inventories (parts and capital equipment) and company assets located within the warehouse
- Perform stock take and cycle counting procedures
- Co-ordinate parts movements to and from other offsite warehouse operations as necessary
- Manage daily freight activities
- Assist service department with deliveries and service calls
- Process Credit Returns
- Monitor and minimise the warehouse operating expenses
- Client Focus: Following up with clients both internal and external to ensure that their needs are met
- Ongoing development of processes and procedures to increase efficiency and safety
- Perform general Warehouse duties as required
Qualification and Attributes:
- Current forklift license and experience in using Forklift is essential
- Previous picking & packing experience in warehouse environment
- Computer literate, basic skills in Word/Excel
- Strong communication skills with the ability to understand written and verbal instructions
- Ability to provide leadership by establishing clear expectations and demonstrating high standards of work practices and safety conscious behaviour
- Technical understanding of machinery and parts
- Previous experience in spare parts and warehousing
- Ability to undertake heavy lifting
- Ability to work unsupervised
