We supply hoses to the CS Gas companies here in Queensland, as well as Space, Defence, Food and Beverage and many companies around the world.
We are a Digitalised business that invests back into technology and have 3 CNC computerised laths, 4 manual lathes, 6 welding bay facilities, digital crimpers for making PTFE hose, rubber hoses, code hoses, we have a dedicated in-house pressure testing department with the capabilities of producing pressure graphs and certificates.
The Opportunity
We are looking for an experienced Warehouse Storeperson - Trade Assistantto work with our production team at our Western Australia Branch for an immediate start.
- This is a full time position at Cockburn Central in WA.
- Hours are 6.00am - 2.30pm
- You will undertake Incoming and Dispatch duties as well as stock management - be the owner of logistics for the Branch
- You will also have the opportunity to work in other areas of the production workshop
How You’ll Make a Difference
Working closely with the Production Team, your main responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
- Provide frontline logistics and stock control.
- Ensure all goods dispatched are correct and complete.
- Package goods to an acceptable standard to minimise freight damage and for goods to arrive to customers in a professional condition.
- Coordination of consignments as per the daily schedule to meet transport and courier collections times and customer deadlines.
- Ensure all incoming goods are receipted, checked and distributed to work areas, or shelved in a timely and efficient manner.
- Management of inventory levels.
- Ensure that stock can be visually identified (tidying, labelling, rotation and accessibility).
- Completion of tasks including stainless prepping, measuring, cutting hoses, assembling, buffing and testing.
About You
As the successful candidate, you will have:
- Certificate III in Transport and Logistics (Warehousing) or sufficient experience in a similar manufacturing/industry environment
- Demonstrated flexibility to perform a variety of tasks in relation to the volume and range of work both on hand and incoming
- Demonstrated flexibility to perform a variety of tasks in relation to inventory management
- Ability to communicate and liaise effectively with all stakeholders
- Capable of demonstrating effective organisational skills and time management
- Competent computer skills
- Forklift Licence
- Drivers Licence
- A willingness to cross-train in other areas to support staff leave (e.g. Production areas)
Desirable:
- Ability to identify or previous experience with hose, fittings, related products and assembly hydraulic and industrial hoses would be highly regarded
