Warehouse/Branch Manager

Altitude is seeking an experienced Warehouse/Branch Manager to oversee the operations of a car parts distribution center in Keysborough, VIC.

As the Warehouse/Branch Manager, you will be responsible for managing stock control, coordinating delivery drivers, overseeing warehouse operations, and ensuring efficient and effective distribution of car parts. The ideal candidate will have previous experience in warehouse management, stock control, delivery driver coordination, and possess a valid forklift license.

Responsibilities:

• Warehouse Operations Management: Lead day-to-day warehouse operations, ensuring smooth and efficient functioning.
• Stock Control and Inventory Management: Analyze inventory data, identify trends, and generate reports to assist in decision-making.
• Delivery Driver Coordination: Rostering drivers to ensure efficient and timely delivery operations. Monitor driver performance, track delivery progress, and address any issues or delays.
• Forklift Operations and Safety: Conduct regular forklift inspections, perform maintenance checks, and report any issues promptly; train and certify warehouse personnel on forklift operation and safety procedures.
• Team Leadership and Development: Lead, motivate, and manage a team of warehouse staff - 3 drivers plus the Warehouse Assistant, providing guidance and support.
• Assist customers in-person, providing support and assistance with their automotive parts needs.
• Ensure accurate transactions and balance end-of-day accounts; manage payroll hours for staff members every Friday morning.
• Utilize deputy for rostering and coordinate replacement drivers if needed.

• Previous experience in warehouse management, stock control, and coordination of delivery drivers.
• Valid forklift license and demonstrated proficiency in forklift operations.
• Knowledge in inventory management systems and proficiency in using warehouse management software.
• Proven leadership abilities, with the capability to motivate and manage a team effectively.
• Knowledge of health and safety regulations pertaining to warehouse operations.
• Understanding of automotive parts and experience as a picker.
• Valid driver's license required.
• Unrestricted work rights in Australia.
