About the Opportunity

We have an exciting opportunity to join Metcash as a Store Manager(also known as Branch Manager). This role is accountable for the safe and profitable Operation of the Branch and its achievement of Sales targets and budgeted objectives. The Branch Manager is the custodian of customer service of the branch, leading and developing team members to provide customer service excellence and is also responsible for the health and safety of customers, team members and contractors.

In this Role

  • Achievement of Operating and Financial Budgets
  • Lead the implementation of Metcash safety, health and environmental policies, systems and strategies for their area of control
  • Provide appropriate resources for and continually monitor and evaluate SHE risks and the controls implemented for the management of those risks
  • Manage the induction, on-boarding, training and conduct of all team members
  • Develop relationships with customer and suppliers to provide exceptional service

You're Likely a Match If

  • Prior experience with union EA negotiations
  • Knowledge of warehousing operations and the functions involved; Warehouse Management Systems (WMS); FMCG, retail or warehousing knowledge
  • Experience dealing with conflict and/or having difficult conversations; customer resolution experience
  • People management experience; experience conducting performance reviews; coaching and mentoring staff
