The Opportunity
Reporting to the Utility Services Manager as the Waste and Compliance Services Coordinator your role is key in ensuring the proper management and disposal of waste materials in compliance with local regulations and environmental standards.
Responsible for the development, implementation, and monitoring of waste management programs and processes, you will be expected to deliver expert guidance to decision makers and the broader community. Key aspects of the role include conducting site visits, evaluating waste management practices, coordinating waste collection and disposal activities as well as providing recommendations for improvement. You will possess superior communication skills and will work closely with internal and external stakeholders to ensure proper waste disposal.

Skills and Qualifications:
- Knowledge of relevant Waste legislation (including acts, regulations, local laws and policies) and experience in administering and enforcing this legislation;
- Demonstrated experience in the operation and management of resource recovery and waste services and facilities;
- Demonstrated negotiation skills and ability to deliver expert guidance to decision makers and the broader community;
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with experience in the preparation and submission of reports on waste management activities;
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team and autonomously, without close direction or supervision;
- Effective at prioritisation, organisation, and meeting deadlines with a consistent level of professionalism; and
- hold a current C class drivers license.

The successful applicant will be paid $91,206 - $97,347 per annum plus superannuation.
Working Conditions and Physical Requirements
Pre-employment screening includes Medicals, Drug and Alcohol Testing, and Criminal History Checks to ensure capability to perform the inherent requirements of the role.
