We are seeking an experienced and professional Waste Education Officer with a passion for Waste Minimisation.
In this role you will have some of the following accountabilities:
- Efficiently and effectively provide education and awareness of the Shire of Serpentine Jarrahdale's current and future waste services, to both internal and external stakeholders.
- Use initiative and technical knowledge to ensure the Shire's Waste Education program is executed in a planned and structured manner.
- Prepare and manage regulatory and government requirements pertaining to waste management auditing and reporting.
Our preferred candidates will be able to demonstrate the following experiences and skillset:
- Interest and experience in resource recovery, waste minimisation and recycling in a Local Government environment.
- Confidence to deliver presentations to internal and external stakeholders.
- Well-developed computer skills including the Microsoft suite of products.
- Experience in preparing grant funding applications.
- Ability to work autonomously.
- Possession of a construction White Card.
- Possession of, or the ability to acquire, a satisfactory Police Clearance Certificate (dates within the last 3 months).
- Possession of, or the ability to acquire a Working with Children Card.
We will negotiate a great salary with you, but it will depend on the experience you bring to the role.
