Hays have partnered with a local council that is looking for a Waste Education, to join their small but committed team of Waste Champions.Your new role
This position will report to the manager of waste and infrastructure maintenance. You will provide education to the community relating to the best waste management practices, and will prepare, coordinate, and implement waste-related projects and initiatives.
- Lead the design and implementation of educational campaigns and behaviour change strategies to influence waste behaviours of the public, businesses, and community organisations.
- Educate and provide advice on waste queries to the public, colleagues, and community organisations
- Coordinate community education programs
- Responsible for all project deliverables including planning documents; stakeholder meetings; data collection, analysis, and report writing
- Manage waste data collection and reporting
- Relevant qualification or demonstrated experience in waste management and education
- Skills and ability to use computer systems such as Microsoft suite, including excel and publisher. Authority, HPE Content Manager and Verint CRM are desirable
- Previous experience establishing, developing, and maintaining policy, strategies and procedures
- Knowledge of contract management
