The Waste Operator is responsible for providing a range of tasks that ensures the South Perth Recycling Centre operates as per legislative requirements with a strong customer focus, and supporting the City in achieving effective refuse disposal and compliance with Environmental Health requirementsClient DetailsOur client, a local council south of the river, seeks a skilled and dedicated Parks and Gardens Grounds Person to join their team.DescriptionPosition objectives

• Open and close gates for public access to the Recycling Centre within the hours

specified;

• Check entry vouchers of ratepayers for the disposal of their rubbish and account for all the monies

received daily;

• Collect all weighbridge dockets and invoices relative to the disposal of rubbish at the landfill site;
• Estimate and monitor the level of rubbish being tipped in the Recycling Centre bins (30m3) and

ensure that they are not in excess of the legal load limit;

• Load and transport full bins from the Recycling Centre to the landfill / recycling sites
• Ensure that the 'Conditions of Entry' as per the signage at the Recycling Centre are complied with;
• Undertake other relevant duties and project work as required by the Waste Supervisor and the

Waste and Fleet Coordinator;

• Maintain the Recycling Centre tipping bays, floor and surrounding area in a clean and safe condition,

Job Offer

• $37 per hour
• Tuesday-Fridays 7.00am - 3.30pm & 7.45am - 2.15pm Sat.
• HR class driver's license Essential
