Waste Services Officer
Temporary Full-time Position (up to 13 months)
Work a 35-hour week (Variable Day Off)
Salary range $37.25 - $43.21 per hour + 11% Superannuation (Depending on Experience)
The Opportunity
This role assists the coordinator, providing business service and support to administer Council’s Domestic/Commercial Waste Collection, Disposal and Processing Contracts to ensure the current and futures service needs of the community. The Waste Business Services Officer undertakes data collection and reporting and contributes to continuous business improvement.

Essential Criteria
- Certificate IV in Business Administration or related discipline, or extensive experience in administration.
- Demonstrated high level experience in the use of Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint.
- Demonstrated word processing skills supporting a team.
- Sound understanding of dealing with internal and external customers including written and verbal communication on a daily basis.
- Previous experience in applying discretion with sensitive information.
- Demonstrated ability to apply attention to detail, accuracy within an agreed timeframe.
- Demonstrated experience in being able to implement and carry out instructions without further supervision.
- Demonstrated ability to learn software quickly.
