About the role:
We have a permanent opportunity for a Manager – Water Engineering Metro based at our Osborne Park office.
You’ll lead and develop a centre of treatment and operational expertise responsible for providing specialist engineering support for the operation and optimisation of TaRR’s water schemes and assets.
What the role will involve:
- Lead teams undertaking engineering and scientific expertise to ensure the optimal performance and maintenance of major water production infrastructure across the Perth metropolitan area.
- Lead complex engineering and scientific investigations for assessment of water treatment processes and technologies and remedial work to improve performance, quality and reliability to ensure the optimal performance of chemical dosing and water treatment plants.
- Lead teams to ensure compliance with relevant licences and regulatory agreements relating to surface and groundwater operations and ANCOLD and corporate dam safety policies.
- Provide specialist advice to Engineering on water treatment and related Design Standards including Asset Acquisition Process.
- Support the Drinking Water Quality, Strategic Investment Business Case and the DWQ Improvement program (capital and operational).
- Implement and assess specialist Operational Intelligence Performance Strategy and Tracking Tools and support these to enable operational (including energy and chemical management), engineering and asset management decisions with real time operational data and minimise troubleshooting.
- Manage incidents and lead safety requirements for the team and monthly site inspections for water assets, ensuring all safety training and safety legislation compliance is met.
Key skills and experience:
You will have a degree level qualification in a related engineering discipline, and knowledge of the ADWG and the relevant management frameworks.
You will have extensive experience in water operations related infrastructure maintenance and operation, and considerable experience in managing a team of technical specialists.
