This role will fly in and fly out from Perth to Laverton. Our Water Services Technician is responsible for the efficient operation of the water treatment plants at the Mt Weld Operation.Skills required for this role: Demonstrated experience as a service technician in the water treatment industry, including exposure to remote locations Demonstrated experience in the operation and maintenance of Ultrafiltration and/or Reverse Osmosis plants Commissioning experience (desirable) Knowledge of chemical treatment processes Effective time management skills including the ability to multi-task and prioritise responsibilities High level of attention to detail with planning, analytical and decision-making skills Effective verbal, written and computer skills Display sound problem identifying and solving skills with attention to detail Show initiative, self-motivation and discipline, with the ability to work with minimal supervision Valid WA 'C' Class Drivers Licence (Essential) Key Responsibilities: Commissioning of two state-of-the art water treatment plants, including chemical softening, clarification, ion exchange and multi-stage reverse osmosis trains Manage all aspects of existing water treatment flowsheet, including ultrafiltration (UF), reverse osmosis (RO), Dissolved Air Flotation (DAF) and chemical treatment processes Maintain and operate UF, RO and DAF units ensuring they are regularly monitored, and parameters are adjusted as required Conduct chemical cleans (CIPs) on UF and RO when required to maintain efficient performance Liaise with vendors and consultants to troubleshoot and optimise performance throughout the water treatment process Analyse water quality parameters Develop, coordinate and conduct testwork programmes to troubleshoot and optimise the water treatment plants Generate technical reports on testwork, pilot plants, commissioning and routine production performance Provide technical support and training to metallurgy and process staff Develop standard operating procedures for all aspects of the water treatment plantWork in a safe and efficient… Click here to view more detail / apply for Water Services Technician
