In support of this the Web Officer assists with the oversight of web platforms including but not limited to, technical and design decisions, tooling, productivity, ways of working and quality control.
The Web Officer is responsible for the administration, design and publishing of web pages/documents across various channels aligned to business priorities. This role works collaboratively with subject matter experts and content writers to produce high-quality outcomes for internal or external stakeholders.
The role sits within the Web, Multimedia and Design team and supports the broader Communication team in delivering communication campaign activities through supporting web platforms, and the entire agency in the delivery of its objectives.
Position duties
The role of Web Officer includes and not limited to:
- Front-end website management skills including web accessibility standards
- Supporting Content Management Systems/Microsoft SharePoint including configuration and publishing
- Manage stakeholders in publishing documents and content using workflows
- Supporting power automate workflows for staff including troubleshooting
- Assisting with testing for web builds or upgrades
- Redesigning web pages with established design libraries
- Understanding of web publishing processes in a government department
