Qualifications / Skills / Experience
- Qualifications or currently studying towards Event/Hospitality Management or similar courses desired but not essential
- Demonstrated experience successfully coordinating weddings and/or large events
- Previous experience working in hotels desired but not essential
- Proficient in Microsoft Office suite, iVvy Events/ CRM and OPERA or similar hotel management software programs
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Professional presentation and strong attention to details
- Enjoy building and maintain positive relationships, both internally and externally
- Possess a professional attitude and time management skills
- Achieving deadlines is what drives you
Key Responsibilities
- Daily administrative support functions and responding to all wedding emails and phone enquiries
- Assist with the preparation, distribution and processing of detailed event paperwork, both internally and externally
- Conduct site inspections for prospective couples and third party suppliers
- Liaise with other hotel departments in relation to wedding logistics
- Detailed record and diary management
- Ensure post wedding follow up with the couple
- Liaising with event suppliers and third parties where required
About the Role
Reporting to the Director of Conference & Events, we are seeking our next full-time Wedding extraordinaire to join our team of Events professionals. If you have ever wanted to immerse yourself in designing, planning and executing the best experience for each and every couple, then this is the role for you!
Events are at the core of our business and your days as a Wedding Executive will be filled with responding to wedding enquiries and coordinating all internal and external features from start to finish of the couple’s special day.
To maintain our high quality of service from the very beginning of the couple’s planning right through the big day, this position is a Tuesday to Saturday role.
