This a key role in our Weddings team focused on ensuring no stone is left unturned in the planning and coordination of our couples tailored weddings. Whether its menu planning, theming, audio visual and entertainment or the organisation of accompanying accommodation, this role plays an integral part in making their vision for their special day a reality.Day to DayReporting to the Wedding Manager, you will assist with site inspections, proposals and coordinate the end to end planning of weddings in the Resort; from enquiries, supporting quoting, follow-up, event planning and management. Overseeing operational delivery, you will work closely with the banquet operations team post hand over to actively ensure all weddings come to life seamlessly, delivering unrivalled and distinctive experiences for the couple and their guests. This includes planning and conducting pre-event daily de-brief and post event meetings with clients, with a focus on continuous improvement; not just for their day but with the wider Resort event offering in mind.In addition, you will ensure all IHG policies and procedures are followed and demonstrate Awareness of OH&S policies and procedures and ensure all procedures are conducted safely and within OH&S guidelines and ensure your direct reports do the same.Qualifications
- Hospitality or Event tertiary qualification preferred
- Preferably minimum of two years’ experience in an event planning capacity with proven ability across all aspects of wedding and event planning, with exposure to the sales element of this process a plus.
- A proactive approach to developing and maintaining strong relationships with clients and internal and external stakeholders will be fundamental to your success
- Flexible to regularly work weekends and evenings as required to support the execution of the weddings which you plan.
