Form of workWe are currently seeking an additional Weighbridge Operator/Administrator for our recycling facility to support our existing team member in serving as the primary point of contact on-site, overseeing inbound & outbound materials, and assisting with other administrative tasks as required.
The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills and the ability to remain focused and composed in a fast-paced environment. This role involves interacting with individuals face-to-face, via UHF, email, and phone, thus necessitating the capacity to prioritise tasks independently.
Key Responsibilities:
- Directing customers to the appropriate area in the yard and providing safety instructions.
- Ensuring accurate recording of sales and deliveries.
- Coordinating the dispatch of off-site deliveries.
- Providing precise contact and delivery details for drivers' routes.
- Managing cash sales.
- Handling incoming queries via phone, email, and face-to-face interactions.
- Addressing problems and fulfilling requests promptly.
- Assisting with general administration tasks as required.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Demonstrated proficiency with computers.
- Previous experience in a similar role or industry preferred.
- Familiarity with weighbridge operations or relevant software is advantageous.
This position entails a 38-hour work week, with the possibility of overtime as proficiency in our procedures is demonstrated. Our operational hours are Monday to Friday, from 7:00 am to 5:00 pm, and Saturdays from 7:00 am to 12:00 pm. Remuneration will be based on experience.
