About the Role
As a Wellfield Engineer, you will provide critical technical input and data analytics to efficiently develop and operate uranium leaching wellfields. Your expertise will be essential in planning, forecasting, and optimizing our wellfield operations. This position is ideal for early to mid-level professionals (graduates to those with up to 5 years of experience). It demands a specialized skill set, and Boss Energy is committed to training team members who demonstrate the right aptitude for the role.
The role will be FIFO from Adelaide charter terminal direct to the Honeymoon mine site on an 8:6 roster.
Key Responsibilities
You will be part of the Wellfield and Resources Team. This team is responsible for delineating the uranium ore body, installing and operating leaching wellfields, and ultimately for extracting uranium from the ground and delivering it to the process plant.
Duties will include:
- Wellfield Planning: Assist the geology team in planning wellfield design
- Production Forecasting and Tracking: Analysis of wellfield production data to reconcile and forecast production, and optimise wellfield performance
- Geology/Resource Work: Assist as required to supervise, production and resource delineation drilling programs.
- Environmental support: Provide data analysis and input into environmental reporting and permitting requirements.
About You
You will have the following skills, experience, and qualifications:
- Tertiary degree or higher in Hydrogeology, or Engineering in Chemical, Mining, Petroleum, or Environmental streams.
- Demonstrated aptitude for data analysis and systematic, structured workflows.
- Proven ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
