Joining our Wholesale COO (WCOO) office, as a Team Lead in the Portfolio Service Executives team, where you will provide day-to-day support of Relationship Management teams focussing on their client portfolio needs. Reporting to the Head of Wholesale Portfolio Services, you manage a subset of the Portfolio Services Executives (PSE) team, serving as an escalation contact as well as promoting the PSE function across our Commercial Banking and Global Banking businesses, utilising your ability to collaborate effectively at all levels.

Taking on this role, you will be pivotal in supporting transformation of our business processes and customer experience, capitalising on your ability to think laterally and visualise different ways of doing things. Your main responsibilities will include:

  • Supporting Relationship Management teams in the timely management of client portfolio needs. Serving as primary liaison with core product and loan operations / fulfilment teams, working on client enquiries to deliver accurate and timely responses.
  • Leading a subset of a high performing PSE team, providing guidance and support, motivating the team to consistently achieve high standards and driving their professional growth while fostering a positive work environment.
  • Collaborating effectively to meet operational goals through exceptional servicing. You will work closely with various departments and utilise your problem-solving skills, resolving complex customer issues promptly and effectively.
  • Continuously identify opportunities for operational improvements, focussing on streamlining of our existing processes and improving efficiencies.
  • Developing and maintaining professional working relationships with people at all levels including clients, peers, product specialists, credit risk managers and multiple internal service and fulfilment teams.
  • Ensuring adherence to credit, financial crime compliance and regulatory policies.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will bring:

  • Previous experience in commercial / institutional banking (relationship management, portfolio servicing or product or delivery), business management, personal banking or other similar roles.
  • Demonstrated leadership potential and the desire to take on new challenges and responsibilities.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, enabling productive dialogue with internal clients and stakeholders, collaborating across functions to ensure optimal outcomes.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to motivate and inspire teams.
  • An analytical mindset and strong investigation skills with the ability to make timely and informed decisions, aligned with the bank's goals and values.

Strong problem-solving skills with proven ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
