The Sales and Customer Care role has a primary responsibility to sell Hair Candy education classes and products, continually finding unique ways to increase audience size and engage with customers. They are responsible for supporting the Wholesale and Education Manager with daily tasks, and ensuring all Hair Candy customers have a smooth customer journey.  This role requires excellent phone communication and presentation skills, self-motivation and forward thinking.

Sales and Customer Care responsibilities:

The Sales/Customer Care agent must spend a significant amount of time on the phone with previous and new customers. They are responsible for assisting the Wholesale and Education manager in generating and nurturing new leads in a cost effective and efficient way. They are responsible for converting new leads into paying customers, and must meet the outlined KPI’s. A significant part of the role is maintaining relationships with our previous customers including keeping in contact with them which helps to promote positive communication and more sales. Customer loyalty is the bread and butter of the business, and ensuring customers are happy and continue to purchase is a must.

Key tasks of the Sales and Customer Care role:

• Pick and pack website orders.
• Monitor our main email inbox & social media inboxes.
• Call and perform regular check-ins with top customers.
• Support the Wholesale and Education Manager, along with the National Educator.
• Help with stock control procedures including counting and ordering stock.
• Film and contribute to team content days.
• Make wholesale and education sales over the phone..
• Assist with welcome calls for new customers and education leads.
• Assist with topping up and tidying our warehouse.
• Assist with stationary and packaging orders.
• Collaborate with the team to push Sales and brand growth.
• Possess a willing attitude to be adaptable to help where needed as the business grows.
• Solve problems for clients and Customers by developing innovative and tailored sales solutions.
• Meet and exceed KPIs and sales targets.

Although each day is different, your typical day would look like this:

Starting your day at our Burleigh Heads office, you would join our friendly team in our morning meeting to get the day started. After that you would be checking into our phone system to respond to any calls that came in overnight. You’d also be monitoring the phone throughout the day, along with checking our social media for customer communication. You may be required to repost stories or reels throughout the day as directed by your manager. As a fast growing e-commerce business, you will see many orders start to come in throughout the day. Around midday you would print the order slips and head to the warehouse to pack orders. If we have stock arriving, you'd be counting and unpacking stock to make sure our website is updated as soon as possible. You would then move on to sales calls with potential education customers, assisting them with inquiries with the aim to book them into an upcoming education. Your day would finish off with checking if any stock or supplies need to be ordered to keep everything running smoothly.

Hair Candy Australia is a fast growing e-commerce and wholesale hair extensions company. Our founder Shakira was a hairdresser and began the Hair Candy Salon brand back in 2007. Since then she has created a range of hair extensions and hair products that we now sell on our online store. Our main demographic is hairdressers and hair salons, looking to stock premium quality hair extensions. We have specialised techniques of installing hair extensions, which we teach to students in masterclasses around Australia and through our online course. 

Our warehouse is located at Burleigh Heads with free street parking. We have a kind and caring team who work hard but have fun along the way. We are looking for someone who wants a steady job, and who plans to be a part of our team long term.

Monday to Friday Full Time. $25.00-$30.00 per hour with the potential for bonuses, depending on experience.
