Job Description:
The position is responsible to the Team Leader Operations to provide general administrative support and assistance to the WHS unit. The role is responsible for: responding to telephone and general email inbox enquiries; monitoring and reviewing hazards and injuries in the department’s online WHS reporting platform; scheduling training sessions, managing attendance registers for WHS training sessions through PLINK; payments/reimbursements of accounts through Basware; updating the HSR Portal and register; setting up and modifying users in the department’s WHS online scheduling system; administration of the electrical tag and testing program; administration of travel and accommodation bookings for the WHS unit; and other administration tasks where required.
Qualifications:
Desirable: Certificate IV in Work Health and Safety or equivalent
Special Conditions:
The successful applicant is required to gain a Department for Human Services (DHS) working with children check (WWCC) prior to being employed which is required to be renewed every five years before expiry. The incumbent will be required to undertake RRHAN –EC (Responding to Risks of Harm, Abuse and Neglect - Education Care) Facilitator Lead (Masterclass) extended course or the online (Fundamentals) course which will be required to be updated every three years.
Please note that department employees working in high risk environments are required to maintain up-to-date vaccination against COVID-19, with a TGA Approved Vaccine, or comply with the following reasonable, additional safety measures to mitigate risk in the workplace. Vaccination status must be disclosed and provided for sighting on request.
