We are seeking a dynamic and experienced WHS Advisor to join the team. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring compliance with Work Health and Safety (WHS) regulations, implementing safety programs, and promoting a culture of safety across all levels of the organisation.
Key Responsibilities of the role will include:
- Develop, implement, and review WHS policies and procedures.
- Conduct risk assessments and audits to identify and mitigate hazards.
- Provide expert advice and support on WHS matters to all staff.
- Deliver training programs to enhance safety awareness and compliance.
- Investigate incidents and accidents and develop corrective action plans.
- Monitor compliance with WHS legislation and company policies.
- Prepare and present WHS reports to senior management.
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement in health and safety practices.
Qualifications and Experience required for the opportunity:
- Tertiary qualifications in Occupational Health and Safety or a related field is highly desirable.
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a similar WHS/HSE role.
- Comprehensive knowledge of WHS legislation and regulations.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proven ability to influence and drive safety culture.
- Experience in the property development or construction industry is highly desirable.
