About the team – The ASC is committed to ensuring the health, safety, and wellbeing of our staff in the workplace by doing everything reasonably practicable to eliminate, reduce or prevent risks that cause physical and psychological harm. As a member of the WHS and Injury Management Team, you will be employed to ensure the ASC upholds these commitments and legislative requirements under the Work Health and Safety Act 2011, Work Health and Safety Regulations 2011 and Safety, Rehabilitation and Compensation Act 1988.
About the role – We are looking for a motivated individual with excellent attention to detail, interpersonal and communication skills and experience delivering WHS compliance activities within a Government Department context (Public Service sector experience is highly desired).
This position is offered as an ONGOING/FULL TIME position.
The successful candidate will have:
- Tertiary qualifications and/or extensive demonstrated experience in WHS management and legislation.
- Trained and experienced in employee rehabilitation case management consistent with Comcare requirements and the Safety, Rehabilitation and Compensation Act 1988.
- Demonstrated capacity to provide timely, compelling, and concise advice to inform management/Executive decision making.
- Sound knowledge and experience in the development, review and application of broader HR legislation, policies and frameworks.
- Experience in using an integrated WHS management system.
