The role be supporting multiple central Melbourne locations and is a full-time, permanent opportunity.
About the role:
The role reports to a Health and Safety Manager and sits within the broader Safety, Injury Management, and training team.
Duties:
- Train, coach and provide advice to workers and managers on health and safety obligations and risk management
- Drive safe behaviours through building effective relationships and acting as a coach to staff
- Carry out health and safety workplace investigations, inspections and audits
- Collaborate with leadership and staff to plan and implement safety improvement measures
- Work closely with senior management to adhere to legislative requirements.
- Working across the safety management systems to add improvements (Riskman)
- Identify safety trends and complete weekly/monthly reports.
- Good working knowledge of health and safety legislation
- Must have demonstrated experience working in a Health and Safety role (Candidates without experience will not be considered)
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to liaise with stakeholders at all levels
- Formal qualifications in Safety (Cert IV/Diploma minimum)
