As the WHS Business Partner - Wellbeing Lead you will play a pivotal role in maturing the Safety Management System through the provision of proactive, legislatively sound Business Partnering advice.

- Actively build a safety culture and promote safety management activities within the Southern Region where the management of critical risks becomes an organic part of day-to-day business.
- Provide leadership and coaching to managers against the WHS unified risk register to ensure they reflect the current WHS risks, the timely and effective implementation of controls assuring risks are being managed within tolerances and reported
- Develop and embed psychosocial hazard risk management initiatives and activities including the promotion of positive practices and appropriate support and recovery processes
Manage the internal mental health first aiders cohort across the company including the approach to their ongoing learning, development, support and early intervention pathways - Contribute to the Healthy Systems of Work strategy through the development of wellbeing initiatives such as proactive health programs, effective change management, improved leader capability and development and the management of volunteering strategies and industry partnerships
- Provide advice and recommendations on workplace health and safety (WHS) matters
- Ensure best practice WHS and ISO Standard compliance through researching and maintaining knowledge of relevant trends
- Comply with WH&S policies and procedures and contribute and promote a safe and healthy work environment
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in a senior WHS practitioner role
- Comprehensive understanding of Work Health and Safety legislation, regulations, and codes of practice
- Demonstrated ability to effectively plan and lead initiatives and manage projects effectively in a dynamic, complex environment with competing priorities.
- Experience in wellbeing program or psychosocial risk management
- Incident investigation qualifications (ICAM)
- Tertiary qualifications in Health and Safety
- Accreditation to Health and Safety industry bodies
- Mental Health Qualifications or the desire to obtain these qualifications (including train the trainer)
