As the WHS Manager, you will play a pivotal role in developing, implementing, and maintaining effective health and safety programs across our organisation. Your primary responsibility will be to create a culture of safety consciousness and compliance, mitigating risks and fostering a workplace where our employees can thrive. The successful candidate will bring a wealth of experience, a proactive approach to safety, and a commitment to continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement comprehensive WHS policies and procedures.
- Conduct regular risk assessments and audits to identify potential hazards and ensure compliance with relevant regulations.
- Collaborate with department heads to create and deliver effective WHS training programs.
- Investigate incidents and accidents, identifying root causes and implementing corrective/preventive actions.
- Stay current with industry trends, legislative changes, and best practices in WHS.
- Maintain accurate records and reports related to WHS activities.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health and Safety or a related field.
- Proven experience as a WHS Manager or in a similar role.
- In-depth knowledge of relevant health and safety legislation and regulations.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
