Your new role
Reporting to the HR Manager, this role is responsible for management, planning and implementation of work health and safety systems, programs and policies. You will build and maintain a sustainable health and safety management system toensure compliance with legislative and regulatory requirements and promote a positive safety culture through the active management of WHS management systems, including providing specialist advice, support and training to staff.
You will be responsible for undertaking group risk assessments and applying contemporary risk management practice, undertaking incident investigation and reporting and facilitating WHS working groups. You will be required to oversee and improve WHS inductions and conduct audits of the safety systems to determine the degree of compliance with KPI's, targets and providing feedback to the executive leadership team. You will need to maintain records and provide monthly statistics of all safety related matters and raise awareness of any statutory, legislative and regulatory governence requirements.
What you'll need to succeed
Ideally, you will hold a tertiary qualification in Health & Safety. You will hold relevant experience in work health and safety in a complex organisation including demonstrated knowledge of injury management and wellbeing practices.You'll come with experience in safety reporting, including audits, investigations and inspections. It will be required to have a valid police check and a valid drivers license for this opportunity.
