The Role
As the WHS & Risk Administrator for the School Safety and Risk Management System (ERM), you will be pivotal in supporting a robust safety framework tailored specifically for the College. This system (ERM) will seamlessly integrate with our existing EMS modules while aligning with ISO31000. ISO45001 and ISO45003 standards. Your primary focus will be ensuring compliance, driving best practices, and fostering a safety culture. This position involves close collaboration with various teams, including operations, IT, and relevant external stakeholders.
The role encompasses responsibilities across 4 key areas:
- Administration Support:
- Adoption of new policies and updates for the College.
- Assist the Business Manager with administrative tasks.
- Serve as a point of contact for internal and external inquiries, providing assistance, and information as required.
- Assist the WHS & Risk Advisor in monitoring and updating of risk and compliance systems.
- Develop, maintain, and implement procedures for document version control, access permissions, and data security to ensure compliance with College policies and regulatory requirements.
- Support the WHS & Risk Advisor of the College’s obligations under Student Protection legislation, including maintaining the Blue Card Register system.
- Conduct monthly system audits for Blue Card.
- Manage the maintenance of risk and compliance registers, as required.
- Monitoring and maintaining the College’s policies and procedures, ensuring policies and procedures are compliant with statutory requirements, ensuring they are updated on the College website and intranet.
- Provide administrative support for the implementation and maintenance of the WHS systems.
- Support incident reporting and investigation processes, ensuring timely resolution and documentation.
- Rehabilitation and Return to work coordination.
- Demonstrate previous experience in an administrative support role, preferably within compliance, WHS, or policy development.
- Demonstrate strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines effectively.
- Possess a high attention to detail and accuracy in maintaining records and documentation.
- Possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues.
- Demonstrate proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant administrative tools.
- Rehabilitation & Return to Work Coordinator course would be advantageous.
