The Role:
We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Work, Health and Safety (WHS) Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing advice and guidance in relation to WHS, promoting a safe working environment for all employees.
Hours: Permanent Part-time, 16 hours per week
Location: Sydney however, candidate from Hunter and Coffs Harbour maybe considered.
Salary: From $89,000 per annum (Full-time equivalent) + super and $15,900 in salary packaging
Reporting to: Chief Human Resources Officer
Responsibilities (but not limited to):
- Work alongside HR Business Partners, Senior Managers and leaders across Ability Options to develop and execute WHS plans and strategies to support business requirements.
- Develop and lead WHS awareness campaigns across the organisation.
- Work with HR colleagues, Senior Managers and leaders to develop the Ability Options’ wellbeing approach and contribute to employee experience projects.
- Build a range of safety and wellbeing models adapting and improving following feedback from both internal and external stakeholders.
- Provide support, guidance and coaching to managers in all aspects of WHS and wellbeing.
- Analyse WHS data and develop plans with HR Business Partners and senior leaders to improve safety and wellbeing for a better employee experience.
Essential Criteria:
- Tertiary qualification in relevant field or demonstrated experience in WHS and wellbeing.
- Strong knowledge of WHS legislation and SafeWork Best Practices.
- High level of written and verbal communication skills with attention to detail.
- Ability to develop data analysis skills and produce reports to inform decision making.
- Understanding of working with others to influence change.
