  • Employment Type: Full Time, Continuing (35-hour week)
  • Remuneration Level 5: $82,818 - $93,711 + 17% Superannuation
  • Location: Kensington, NSW (the successful candidate will be required to work on campus 2-3 days a week)

Why The Role Matters:
The Work Integrated Learning team supports the development of Faculty initiatives to support and strengthen student engagement programs to positively influence the student experience. This includes identifying, developing and implementing student development opportunities to enhance the student experience and ensure work-readiness. The Work Integrated Learning team is responsible for the professional experience placements students complete as part of their course requirements. The WIL Administrator (Education), Student Support works with the WIL Education team to ensure Teacher Education Students (TES) are placed in alignment with their UNSW course, program and accreditation requirements.
Accountabilities:

  • Work collaboratively with WIL School Administrator Schools in arranging student placements.
  • Communicate effectively with students in accordance with the course and program criteria and placement policies. In consultation with the WIL Officer, Understand, analyse, and address specific student circumstances, ensuring the students experience is at core of the responses and solutions given.
  • Provide proactive and efficient administrative support within the WIL Education team, as directed by WIL Senior Officer and Professional Experience Director. E.g. Assist with LMS content rollouts, orientation set up, and other student meetings and survey coordination.
  • Ensure student data is managed and recorded accurately in all systems for placement allocation, by performing an ongoing auditing and crosscheck with WIL Officer and WIL School Administrator.
  • Prepare accurate and relevant reporting of current, past, and annual placements to support operational decisions.
  • Apply, interpret and advise on policies, systems, manuals, rules, procedures and guidelines, ensuring that compliance requirements in all areas of responsibility are met and gaps are identified and addressed.
Skills and Experience:
To be considered you will hold Australian Working Rights or Australian Citizenship. Visa sponsorship is not available for this appointment.

  • Relevant tertiary qualifications and relevant work experience and/or an equivalent level of knowledge gained through any other combination of education, training and/or experience.
  • Substantial experience working in a customer focused environment with proven experience engaging with a diverse range of stakeholders whilst successfully developing and maintaining strong working relationships.
  • High level interpersonal and communication skills, and the ability to use tact and discretion when dealing with confidential matters.
  • Demonstrated attention to detail while consolidating information from different sources with the ability to manage competing deadlines in a complex environment.
  • Demonstrated experience in case management, triage and analysing and responding to complex cases.
  • Demonstrated experience in the use of computer software such as Microsoft 365 suit specially excel and willingness to undergo further training in the use of other computer software such as UNSW system.
