Critters Up Close are looking for Skilled team members to join our educational team. As leaders in mobile education, we are expanding and are offering a fulltime and casual positions for someone to start immediately. For the right person you will be paid to your level of experience you bring. Casual positions will also be paid to industry award.
Qualifications & experience
- Well-presented person with minimum of 1 year presenting or teaching. and not afraid to present in public. Able to work at times a fast pace and under pressure, able to work with all ages and adapt to the environment. Have a minimum of 2 years, working or volunteering with wildlife/animals and have experience with husbandry.
- Be able to work in a team environment and autonomously.
- Positive attitude and caring nature with a huge love for animals.
- Physically fit with no allergies or phobias to animals.
- MUST have a manual driver's licence or able to obtain. MUST have a current Working with Children or able to obtain one asap.
- Fulltime applicate MUST have reptile experience and ideally worked with Marine and or aquatic animals.
- Fulltime applicate will need to be able to manage a team of people.
Tasks & responsibilities
- Wildlife presentations and Caring
- Responsible for the feeding, cleaning and maintenance of the animals at the Centre.
- Conduct educational displays to the public.
- Due to the nature of the bookings, the job will involve country travel and the person will be require work on weekends and evenings.
