What you’ll do
The role responsibilities include:
- Supervise and lead a team of blade technicians, providing guidance, support, and technical expertise.
- Foster a positive and safety-conscious work culture, promoting teamwork and collaboration within the blade maintenance teams.
- Work closely with blade manager and engineer on blade asset management and project development.
- Plan and coordinate blade maintenance projects, ensuring that tasks are executed efficiently and within established timelines.
- Collaborate with site managers and other stakeholders to align blade maintenance activities with overall project goals.
- Enforce and promote strict adherence to safety protocols and procedures during all blade maintenance operations.
- Conduct regular safety briefings, audits, and inspections to ensure a safe working environment.
- Oversee the quality of blade inspections, maintenance, and repair activities, ensuring compliance with industry standards and company guidelines.
- Implement and monitor quality control measures to enhance the overall performance and longevity of Wind Turbine Blades.
- Maintain accurate records of blade maintenance activities, including inspection reports, maintenance logs, and repair documentation.
- Prepare regular reports summarising project progress, challenges, and achievements.
- Oversee the inspection and maintenance of rope access and other specialised equipment used in blade maintenance.
What you will bring
- Previous experience as a Blade Supervisor/Project Manager or similar role in the renewable energy industry.
- Project scheduling and management skills.
- Industry Specific Experience: Wind Turbine Blade composite repairs
- Degree in mechanical or structural, Certification in GWO/Blade training
- HSE Capability: High
