An opportunity is available for a Technical Support Engineer/Windows System Administrator to work for a Financial Services company in Sydney. As a Windows System Administrator, you will be responsible for L2-L3 technical support and managing and maintaining Windows-based systems, ensuring their optimal performance, reliability, and security. You will play a key role in implementing, configuring, and troubleshooting various Windows server environments, as well as providing customer service to end users. Additionally, you will have the opportunity to work with cloud technologies such as Microsoft Office 365 and Azure, contributing to the modernisation and enhancement of the IT infrastructure. This is an exciting opportunity for an individual who is passionate about system administration and eager to contribute to the success of our client.
Technical Requirements/Skills & Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Windows System Administrator or Technical Support Engineer.
- In-depth knowledge of Windows Server operating systems (e.g., Windows Server 2012, 2016, 2019).
- Proficiency in Active Directory management, including user/group administration, GPO management, and AD replication.
- Experience with Microsoft Exchange Server administration and troubleshooting.
- Familiarity with cloud technologies such as Microsoft Office 365 and Azure.
- Strong understanding of networking concepts and protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP).
- Familiarity with virtualization technologies such as VMware vSphere or Hyper-V.
- Experience in managing and maintaining backup and disaster recovery solutions.
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., MCSA, MCSE) would be advantageous.
