Job description

Acusenus was founded in 2018 and is a Technology company that is committed to using AI, Software and in-house R&D to build solutions that create behavioural change on our roads and reduce road fatalities & injuries caused by distracted drivers. This is a brilliant opportunity to work with committed and passionate people who want to make the world a better place.

As the new System Administrator you’ll be contributing to the success of the business by helping provide a seamless employee experience and establishing processes and systems that can scale with the company.

In 6 short years the business has grown to over 100 people with team members in Australia, the UK and the US. As with all businesses, as the organisation continues to grow, the demands on its internal IT systems and procedures also change. Acusensus was born in the cloud, meaning that you’ll be responsible for managing multiple SaaS applications, work from anywhere on laptops and a limited number of on-prem systems.

The business is large enough to be secure and stable but small enough to not be hampered by policy and process. In other words, you can actually get things done and feel like you’re making an impact.

Your day to day will include:

  • Purchasing, setting up and maintaining laptops across the organisation.
  • Maintaining a limited amount of on-prem IT equipment (e.g. meeting room equipment, printer, fibre/wifi, monitors etc).
  • Creating and maintaining technical documents, policies and procedures.
  • Delivering training programs and workshops for staff as those needs become apparent.
  • Contributing to data security across the organisation, such as; > Regularly reporting on incidents and scans (internal risk register, KPIs, and customer-facing reports) > Supporting pre-sales, and audit activities with written content describing current and proposed future states of the security and privacy solution, > Implementing changes to reduce the likelihood and/or severity of key risks such as loss of AWS account, Jira/Confluence data, or potential data breaches.

Qualifications

Personal skills & experiences required:

  • 3 years + in an IT support or systems admin role.
  • An above average level of confidence, know-how and skill when it comes to implementing and maintaining organisation wide security controls and procedures.
  • The ability to analyse, diagnose and solve complex problems, communicate to senior decision makers in a clear, compelling way, and drive decisive action in partnership with others in a professional setting would be highly regarded.
  • A well-developed planning and organisation skillset along with strong attention to details are essential.
  • A systematic and methodical approach and effective prioritisation will be crucial.
  • An ability to build positive working relationships with internal teams and customers will also be a key to success in this role.

The technical skill requirements for the role are:

  1. Commercial experience with Windows and Linux (preferably Ubuntu) Support and management are essential.
  2. Google Workspace or similar platform administration experience including user, configuration and device management is essential.
