Job Overview
We have an exciting opportunity for a WIP Manager at our Moss Vale site. This position, due to the diversity of responsibilities, requires a thorough knowledge of all aspects of the warehousing, receiving, inventory control and materials management business as well as logistics. Key Job Responsibilities
- Manage, participate & adhere conformance to the company safety & environmental programs.
- Drive a positive safety culture through various training, safety talks, leading by example and awareness activities.
- Applies change management principles to lead the workforce in the adoption of company process, policy and/or procedure changes and ensure the changes are fully implemented and sustained.
- Manage the Moss Vale WIP Store in a manner that achieves maximum quality while meeting accepted standards of efficiency and productivity.
- Supervise and lead all stores employees in a manner that maintains positive employee relations climate within the entire facility and it's customers.
- Manage future workload requirements through effective workforce management, anticipation of future needs & implementing actions to meet needs, and provide clear, consistent, and timely communication to workforce relative to goal progress.
- Engage in effective communication at all levels regarding production parts updates and reporting, scheduling of workforce availability and workload balance, safety and performance management boards.
- Maintain inventory accuracy and goods receipting disciplines through workforce management activities including performance management.
- Offer suggestions and implement initiatives as directed to support continual improvement.
- Oversee traffic management for inbound and outbound deliveries
- Liaise with Business Unit and Site Managers to support operations on site
- 3-5yrs exp. in Warehousing, Receiving, Inventory Control or Materials Management
- Minimum 2 years exp. In a Supervisory role
- Degree in Business Management or related field
- Strong knowledge of Warehousing and Material Handling operations
- SAP exp. Preferred
- Excellent communication both written and oral
- Ability to drive and manage change
- Microsoft Office exp. essential
