About the Team
This role reports to the Procurement Team Lead - Electronic Solutions and will be based at our Military Vehicle Centre of Excellence (MILVEHCOE) in Redbank, Ipswich. You be joining a fun, supportive and open team.
The Electronic Solutions Systems Engineering team works in partnership with the Engineering, Project and Management teams for the design, implementation, testing and commissioning for programs such as L400-2 program.
About the Role
You will be responsible for coordinating, leading and conducting the sourcing of goods and/or services across the nominated categories within the Electronic Solutions business function.
You will also conducting analysis and market research on a variety of sourcing projects.
As a Procurement Specialist, you can anticipate some of your day-to-day tasks to include:
- The management of quotes, tenders, purchase requisitions; purchase orders and securing goods and services that deliver the best overall commercial value;
- Conduct transactions around Purchase Orders in SAP S/4 HANA;
- Conduct Strategic sourcing; negotiation of pricing and other commercial arrangements with suppliers;
- Conduct supplier relationship management; performance reporting, reviews and materials management;
- Actively drive cost reductions and increase value for money while championing opportunities for improvement;
- Contribute to the development, implementation and continued improvement of procurement related working instructions and guidelines;
- Effectively represent RDA Electronic Solutions and liaise with industry bodies and government industry representatives to ensure alignment with Rheinmetall global processes;
- Engage with internal stakeholders across the business to develop and maintain effective, efficient and cooperative working relationships; and
- Provide support to the periodical reporting activities, reviews and AIC industry requirements.

The experience and skillset best suited to this role includes:
- Experience in end to end Procurement preferably within a multinational company;
- Proven experience with Procurement fundamentals, which incorporate: sourcing, tending, contracts, category and Indirect commodity management; market research analysis, reporting and negotiations;
- Experience with SAP and Microsoft Office tools & in e-Sourcing Tool;
- Demonstrated experience with driving continuous improvement of cost and supply base performance;
- Hold a qualification in Procurement or Supply Chain related fields;
- Strong understanding of Indirect costs associated with Capital Expenditure, Plant & Equipment, Tools;
- Proven understanding of the production of complex or technical products;
- Excellent interpersonal communication skills and the ability to liaise with internal and external stakeholders at all levels;
- Strong negotiation and consultation skill set; and
- Must hold or be eligible to obtain an Australian Government Security Clearance (must hold Australian Citizenship).
