We are currently seeking a passionate Women’s Advocate to join the Breathing Space team.
As a Women’s Advocate, you will develop and deliver a range of services to maximise the safety and support of women and children who have ex/partners engaged in Communicare’s residential behaviour change program, Breathing Space.
This role builds respectful and effective relationships with individuals who experience violence and connects them to appropriate services and support. The Women’s Advocate works to maximise the safety of women, children, and other family members.
This position will be offered on a Permanent Full-Time basis, working 76 hours per fortnight. This role will work across the Maylands and Calista sites with travel between the sites required.

Selection Criteria
- 3-year tertiary qualification in the human services field, and or significant experience in family and domestic violence.
- Ability to develop rapport, be non-judgemental and provide a high level of risk assessment, safety planning and advocacy to individuals who experience violence.
- Experience in engaging with individuals who have experienced Family and Domestic Violence
- Unrestricted drivers’ licence
- Satisfactory Police clearance (not older than 6 months from the issue date)
- Current working with children check card
- Department of Justice integrity clearance
