AddressHazelwood & Hill is a timber company that has been delivery timber solutions to the Trade since 1931. We are seeking an experienced Wood Machinist to join our busy Burwood site.
The Role
Reporting to the CEO / Head Machinist, this is an outstanding opportunity to secure your long-term future, with a progressive company. Key components of the position are:
- Qualified Wood machinist
- Be familiar with Weinig, Powerlock Systems an advantage, but previous experience working with moulders is essential, with at least one year of experience.
- Tool Setting and Tool Grinding.
- Tool changing for profiles, tongue and groove flooring, Cladding and DAR
- Ability to maintain Wood Machinery and following O&HS requirements.
- Computer Literacy with Weinig Program and Outlook-MS Office suite.
- Maintaining the moulding catalogue program.
- To be able to communicate clearly.
The Successful Candidate
The successful applicant will not only come from a timber background but will pride themselves on their ability to work as part of a great team.
In addition, you must possess the following skills and licences:
- Punctual, Reliable and have good work ethic.
- Previous experience with timber Moulders, Bandsaws, End-matching machines.
- Administrative work to interpret orders and customer Custom Profiles as needed.
- Tool Change and machine setup
- Machine preventative maintenance
- Keeping work environment clean
- Forklift Licence (preferred however not essential)
- Physically fit and capable of regular manual handling of timber.
- Hardworking, reliable with an excellent work ethic
- Available to work 40 hours per week (which includes 2 hours of paid overtime per week)
- Able to work Monday to Friday; 7.15am – 4pm
