Work And Travel Company Office Allrounder - Youth Travel Industry

Established in 2002, Work and Travel Company is Australia's leading provider of services to working holiday visa travellers. We are looking for a new team member to join us on a permanent basis, with an immediate start for the right person.

The role is a varied position that offers an excellent opportunity for someone who has a genuine desire to provide outstanding customer service. You will be dealing with our young international customers on a day-to-day basis offering them support, guidance and assistance as they undertake their working holiday visa adventure in Australia. We are looking for someone who can work efficiently in a fast-paced environment, who can work autonomously but also as part of a team and "think on their feet".

We are seeking a self-starter who is looking for a new challenge – strong business administration / hospitality and customer service / Travel Industry backgrounds will all be looked upon favourably (but travel / tourism industry experience is not essential).

Duties will include (but are not limited to):

• Meet and greet new customers upon arrival into Australia at the hostel / WTC office
• Running welcome orientations for new customers in Australia (sometimes large groups of 20+ people at a time)
• Handling a high daily volume of customer and / or client enquiries by phone / email / face to face interactions
• Assisting our members to set up and activate their Australian bank accounts and SIM cards
• Multi-tasking, prioritising, and executing your workload efficiently
• Working in fast paced/time sensitive environment whilst always maintaining high customer service levels
• Providing travel information and advice to our customers (any previous travel agent / travel sales experience is a bonus but not essential)
• Placing customers into short term / casual jobs in Melbourne through our labour hire recruitment agency 
• Offering advice on CV's and job seeking in other parts of Australia (outside of Melbourne)
• Always offering outstanding customer service and assistance to our customers and clients alike.

Applicants for this role must be confident, well organised, and motivated – with clear proof of these qualities evident in previous roles undertaken. This position will suit someone who takes pride in their work, has a positive work attitude and an excellent work ethic.
