About the role

The Work Health and Safety (WHS) Business Partner serves as a key point of contact for WHS matters within the organization. This role involves providing expert advice and support to managers and staff to promote and maintain a safe and healthy work environment. The WHS Business Partner collaborates with various stakeholders, including managers, supervisors, and frontline staff, to implement improvement initiatives and programs. Building strong partnerships with key stakeholders is essential for fostering a culture that prioritizes health, safety, and wellbeing. The WHS Business Partner contributes to the overall achievement of Eastern Health’s goals and values, ensuring the Health and Safety of all staff members

About you

To be successful in this role you will possess:

• Relevant tertiary qualifications in OHS, Industrial Hygiene, Ergonomics/human factors or related discipline.
• Experience (2+ years) in Workplace Health and Safety preferably in the healthcare industry.
• Knowledge of relevant legislation, regulations, and industry standards pertaining to WHS.
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to effectively engage and collaborate with stakeholders.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a focus on driving continuous improvement.
• Ability to prioritise tasks, manage competing demands, and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• Commitment to promoting a positive safety culture and inspiring engagement and compliance among employees.
